The Results
Since 1974, Bradford has been registered with the FDA to manufacture Over the Counter (OTC) products. The registration confirms that Bradford complies with the Good Manufacturing Practices and labeling requirements for OTC claims.

Good Manufacturing Practice Certification (GMPc)

Good Manufacturing Practice Certification (GMPc) is an FDA quality control and assurance program designed to ensure the production of products that meet the FDA's quality standards and requirements. The criteria are not specific to any industry but are general principles to follow when manufacturing any product under the
FDA's jurisdiction.

What Do They Do?
GMPc requires companies to properly document formulations, manufacturing processes, equipment utilized, and any change made to the process. Each step needs to be documented and traceable. Every OTC product on the market must have a labeling system that would allow that product to be identified and recalled if necessary.

Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)

RSPO Certification

The Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit association that promotes sustainable palm oil products through a standard certifying process, education, and collaboration of stakeholders.

What Do They Do?
RSPO is dedicated to certifying palm oil plantations that do not contribute to the deforestation of rainforests or the destruction of orangutan habitats.

The Results
A significant amount of palm oil is used in products manufactured at Bradford's three facilities. In 2010, Bradford became an active Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) member and committed to promoting sustainable palm oil whenever possible. USDA Organic

Quality Certification Services (QCS) is a USDA and NOP ANSI/305 accredited certifying agent.

What Do They Do?
QCS offers organic certifications in all areas of the supply chain. QCS certifies that Bradford meets or exceeds standards for producing, handling, and processing organic materials.

The Results
Bradford was the first commercial US soap manufacturer to receive organic certification for bar soap and soap bases in 2001!
